I’m Giao (Nguyen Do Phuong Giao), an author-illustrator from Vietnam.

I graduated with an MA Illustration from Nottingham Trent University, UK in 2025 with Distinction, and was selected for New Designers – the UK’s leading graduate design exhibition in London. My work explores themes of mental well-being, emotional connection, and nature. Through my illustrations, I hope to make people feel heard, understood, and comforted.

I am the Award Winner of the Community Matters Competition (2025) from Company Shop UK – a recognition of my commitment to illustration as a tool for positive change.

The Starry Bird, my picture book for children with cancer, is currently on submission.
